Untethered or tethered wall charger?

I'm not sure which is better untethered or tethered charger?

What do you guys prefer and why ?

Untethered for maximum flexibility, but tethered is nice as long as you know you wont be changing cables (and cars) anytime soon.

I installed an untehered charging point, the reasons are that the wife has a Nissan Leaf and I have a Tesla so different cables.

Secondly I got a garage so can leave it hooked up like tethered so no big deal.
